The Brief: Designing & delivering beautiful trekking routes in East Anglia

In 2019, to represent their 24/7 mission, East Anglian Air Ambulance created a brand new event; Trek24. The pilot event was a resounding success and EAAA wanted to go bigger and better for 2020. That’s where we stepped in! We designed a 24km and 24 mile route in three different locations: one in Norfolk - the charity’s heartland, one on the Suffolk Coast and one in Bedfordshire, an area where the charity was looking to grow its supporter base.

The Event: A 24 mile or 24km Trek

We designed beautiful routes in each location, with 7 rest stops or cheer points along the way, representing the 24/7 campaign.

The Norfolk coast route is a linear route, following the beautiful coastal path from Heacham to Holkham.

The Norfolk broads route follows the Wherryman’s Way from Reedham to Norwich.

The Bedfordshire route is a circular route, starting and finishing at the Hexton Manor Estate, and following the edge of the Chiltern Hills.

The Suffolk route follows the stunning Suffolk Coastal path from Aldeburgh, through Southwold and finishing at beautiful Sotterley Hall.

The Result: Fantastic Feedback and Growing the Series

We have seen this event grow from strength to strength, with increased numbers across a choice of venues each year. We look forward to continuing supporting more walkers in 2025 and beyond!

Well done to you and your team! It was by far the best organised, sign posted and set up event I have ever taken part in of this sort. You made it so easy for us. Genuinely loved it.
