The Brief: Manage the Operations of an established Fundraising Trek

Farleigh Hospice was bringing back its Walk for Life after two years away due to COVID. The return coincided with its 40th Year Celebration. The Fundraising Team wanted to put all their time into Marketing, Stewardship and Supporter Relations so reached out to Gladiator Events to take over the Operations of the trek.

The Event: A 12km and 24km Riverside Trek

Gladiator Events reviewed the route for this trek and made a few tweaks but found the existing route to be beautiful and not in need of too much tinkering!

We created a new set of Operational and Health and Safety documents and procedures, alongside the charity team and suggested any changes or improvements.

We were able to free up a huge amount of time for the fundraising team at the hospice, allowing them to focus all their time and efforts on the essential work of supporting their participants and raising the profile of the walk.

Feedback has been fantastic and we’re looking forward to returning in 2023!
